Domaine de Palatz near Carcassone has a very tranquil atmosphere for your enjoyment and peace. Situated within 25 acres of unspoilt land, for picnicking, nature walks and relaxing in the countryside amongst vineyards, and woodlands.
There are three luxurious stone built gites / cottages as well as three galleried bed and breakfast rooms for rental.
Situated on the edge of the village of Laure Minervois and in the heart of the wine growing area of the Minervois, it is a wonderful place to discover new wines of the Minervois, Corbieres and Malepere. This property, surrounded by vineyards, is close to the beautiful village of Caunes Minervois, with its famous Abbey and Gorge, Minerve and Cathare village, with its wonderful large Gorge, Paraza and the Canal du Midi, built in the 1600s, Narbonne, the Roman capital, Cailhol, with its mystery walk, and Lagrasse, the prettiest village in the Aude.
Step back in time and enjoy the flavour of this area of Carcassonne in the Languedoc-Roussillon, South of France.
Domaine de Palatz is a U-shaped property built around a centre courtyard, consisting of three, separate, spacious newly refurbished cottages. All are individually designed with modern facilities, yet retain their rustic character with thick stone walls and original beams.
Let together or separately, all of our cottages are comfortably furnished, fully equipped and have separate entrances. Cots can be provided, whilst pool towels are available on request.
The swimming pool is 12m x 6m and is shared between the cottages & the chambre d' hote. With underwater flood lights, it is totally enclosed for security, thus offering a sheltered haven for sunbathing, with a fully equipped pool house and terrace. There is a separate BBQ and dining tables, plus a large dining table to seat fourteen people for larger families. Surrounded by rockeries, in a vast garden, where you can admire stunning views of the Black Mountains, the Pyrenees and the fabulous sunsets, we know that your holiday at the Domaine de Palatz will be all that you envisaged.
